Electrical Wiring Harness Designer

Job Description

Qualification – Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Industry – Industrial, Marine, PowerGen, Construction.

Years of Experience – 4 to 6 years

Job Location - Pune

Required Skills:

• Creo (4.0 & above) and Windchill (11). Knowledge of Zuken E3 will be an added advantage.
• Well versed with wiring harness designing for Engine/Genset domain.
• Good experience in schematic design with load current calculations and component selection for wiring harness.

Role Requirements:

• Design of wiring harness for Engine/Genset domain.
• Should be familiar with engine working principle and its peripherals.
• 3D routing, flattening, and drawing preparation for wiring harness in Creo environment.
• Schematic design with load current calculations and component selection for wiring harness.
• Work with different suppliers/vendor development.
• Utilize DFMEA, DVP and RCA whenever required.
• Process understanding of New Product Development (NPI) for harness design and release.
• Sound knowledge of engine electricals i.e., battery, sensors, actuators, alternator, starter motor etc.
• Must be a good team player, should have preliminary management skills to distribute and control workload within team.
• Target-oriented planning and execution of complex tasks
• Analytical thinking and good in problem solving.
• Self-motivated and should have proactive working
• Should work collaboratively with Global teams in Germany and US.
• Support the localization projects in India for Local to Local and Local to Global projects.
• Work closely with manufacturing team for design changes and release.
• Good knowledge of relevant norms and regulations of Wiring Harness industry eg. ISO, IEC, DIN
• Proficient in using SAP, Windchill and Microsoft office solutions
• Excellent written or verbal communication skills, German language would be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel on Business.
