What will you be doing!
- Generating, compiling, and analyzing data related to supply chain costs and developing trend analysis.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-reduction measures.
- Assessing risk and analyzing proposed alternatives for corrective actions to meet plan objectives and targets, escalating as necessary.
- Reviewing and reconciling financial transactions and cost accounting to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing budget reports and financial forecasts, tracking and reviewing the budget, and reporting variances.
- Ensuring program and project work is budgeted in detail, monitoring cost performance against the budget, and ensuring the budget is monitored, controlled, and predictable.
- Providing oversight of tracking cost and variance analysis, identifying issues, and proactively initiating corrective actions.
- Providing recommendations for cost efficiency.
- Coordinating and implementing audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Presenting cost analysis and risk analysis results to management and making recommendations.
- Conducting and participating in special projects to improve the quality and integrity of gathered data and/or processes.
- Maintaining a range of administrative and technical documents and updating the document and knowledge repository.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Completion of a post-secondary education in business administration, commerce, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability and skills in interpersonal, oral, and written communications.
- Ability and skills in critical and creative thinking, problem recognition, analysis, innovation, adaptation, and solution development in a supply chain program and delivery environment.
- Ability and skills in decision-making, rationale articulation, and consequences evaluation in relation to supply chain operation cost controls.
- Knowledge of theories and principles of financial management, accounting, cost accounting practices, and financial statement analysis.
- Knowledge of financial due diligence and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, and contract management life cycles and practices.
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.
