Summary

The Senior Data Governance Analyst works closely with business teams to develop and drive governance maturity across the organization.  This position helps to facilitate assessment activities in the governance program and contributes to the development of policies and standards.  The Senior data governance analyst works closely with data governance analysts, data stewards, data ambassadors to improve data quality and ensure data is managed effectively.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Lead data governance strategy and policy development within the enterprise.

  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with data stewards and ambassadors in assigned business units.

  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of the data landscape in the assigned areas of the enterprise.

  • Identify, understand and document data usage characteristics to drive alignment of data standards.

  • Lead development of and changes to data governance policies and strategies.

  • Chairing and facilitating working sessions with business leaders, stakeholders, and data consumers.

  • Tracking, managing, and reporting on data governance initiatives and progress towards team goals and objectives.

  • Lead the implementation and integration of a new, integrated data model.


You Must Have


  • A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of equivalent direct experience.

  • Direct work experience in data governance, data management, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) or similar areas, as outlined in previous requirement.

  • US citizenship in order to obtain US Dept. of Energy "Q" level security clearance.
