What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Collaborate with all Indian plants & commercial  procurement leaders (covering ~3 factories and 5 offices) to improve procurement performance on key KPI (cost, cash, quality & delivery) improvements across region & ensure sourcing plans align with business Priorities
  • Lead a team of Regional Category Managers to define the regional strategy for Direct & Indirect materials, identify opportunities for cross-business collaboration and partner with top class suppliers to improve performance, reduce the cost of poor quality and align with product units needs and requirements
  • Develop, lead and sustain a standard strategic sourcing process aligned with business goals on quality, delivery, cost, & cash
  • Establish category focused working groups to develop 3yr sourcing roadmap for all major categories covering 80% of global spend
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, & sustaining a global Tiered strategy to transition spend from non-preferred suppliers to drive cost savings and improve leverage through rationalization
  • Collaborate with other regional sourcing director to implement a standard engagement model with Sourcing hubs to increase Low Cost Country spend
  • Develop, implement & sustain an effective category management operating rhythm driving process efficiency and business results in order to meet targets
  • Drive a standard process to facilitate collaboration with product management, engineer, & operations to embed procurement engagement on NPD, VAVE, & localization programs
  • Manage all commercial agreements with Tier 1 global suppliers

Your Education Should Be…

  • 10+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing or Operations management
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing direct material or similar strategies within a global Complex Manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or related discipline
  • Experience of working in a complex matrix organisation across multiple geographical locations, understanding the constraints and working culture within them
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and with experience of leading a strategic procurement function, and sizable indirect organisation
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in negotiating high-dollar, complex procurement agreements
  • Knowledge of general business processes with experience in managing projects globally
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
  • Influencing skills will play a make part of this position to bring other stakeholders in matrix organization to align with Procurement/business strategies

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • To lead and develop a high-performing regional strategic procurement team to support Chart’s business strategy by implementing the standard framework for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies to deliver savings, communicate best practices, & establish clear expectations.
  • Play a comprehensive role in building out regional category strategies, implementing processes, & working with Operations to prioritize and execute their procurement needs.
  • Ensure focus on supplier OTD improvement and product lead-time reduction by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and RCCM.
  • Develop & implement long-term category strategies to maximize savings, quality & delivery through the facilitation of a global network of strategic sourcing associates
  • Integrate the procurement function of Chart VRV and Howden Business’s
  • Lead the Localization of new products into the supply base in India ensuring cost, quality, and supplier performance are matched/exceeding current global suppliers.
