Job Description

MTU Japan (Rolls-Royce Power Systems) is now hiring for a strong individual to join our team in Osaka. You will join our team to manage the Technical Service department within our Aftersales Department and to oversee all Technical Service activities (including field services/warranty and paid service activities), Service Sales, Customer Support, Technical Training and Warranty Claim Procedure (TOGA)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supervises the daily operation of the Technical Service team under Aftersales Department. Make sure all activities are efficient, effective and observing group and company policies, procedures (Product Support Policy Manual), instructions, guidelines and code of conducts.

  • Handle and manage all warranty claim activities and warranty claim procedures (TOGA) correctly in a timely manner, in accordance with Product Support Policy Manual (PSPM).

  • Promotion and sales of services and other MTU service products. Responsible for achieving service sales revenue and profit targets of approved business plans. Supports engine sales projects on technical service related information/requirements

  • Supervise, support and monitor aftersales activities of Service Partners under the company’s RRPS distributorship to ensure company’s aftersales targets and other business objectives are met.

  • Monitor and manage cost and profit calculation for all service activities and ensures project implementation without unfavorable deviation. Supports project costing and profitability checks by Finance Dept.

  • Supports RRPS and its subsidiaries on global, regional or in-country projects related to technical service.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Business or equivalent

  • At least 7 years working experience in related fields with minimum 4 years in a supervising position of

  • aftersales responsibility of industrial products.

  • Experience in sales network management an advantage

  • Fluency in both spoken & written Japanese and English

  • Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and ability to work independently and with others in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong in planning and organizing, good communication and inter-personal skills

  • Ability to travel – domestic and international (30%)
