A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Service Engineer like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.

Service Engineer (Mining & PowerGen Application)

Reports to:

  • Manager; Aftersales Dept./Technical Service

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to OEMs’ service network

  • Leading and coordinating MTU’s service partners nationwide.

  • Lead Site Installation of MTU engines and related equipment at customers’ premises in accordance with MTU standards. (Product Installation) with collaborating to Sales, AE and Operation team locally and stakeholders globally.

  • Giving advice to customers to ensure optimal engine performance (Product Operation)

  • Advising Service Partners and customers on maintenance & repair works in accordance with MTU standards (Product Maintenance/Repair)

  • Responsible for applying Warranty/Goodwill through MTU application system and controlling the progress.

  • Implementation of service activities and commissioning of energy systems in Japan

  • Troubleshooting and optimization of the system operation with regard to the running behavior and the availability for new and existing systems

  • Advice and support for the sales organization in service and maintenance issues

  • Technical support for all MTU energy systems with regard to plant control and electrical engineering

  • Assessment, analysis and documentation of damage cases

  • Independent development of solutions for technical problems in cooperation with development and customer

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed university studies or training as a technician

  • Engineering skills to provide technical solutions to customers

  • Technical competency to understand engine mechanics and electric technology

  • Good knowledge of internal combustion engines

  • Qualified electrician with switching authorization up to 1000V is an advantage

  • In-depth knowledge of measurement, control and regulation technology

  • Capacity to communicate and foster constructive dialogue with colleagues and customers

  • Comprehensive English and Japanese language skills

  • Good IT user skills

  • Organizational skills, systematic and independent way of working

  • High flexibility, commitment and motivation

  • Willingness to travel at home
