As a Manufacturing Engineer-Sentencer for Rolls-Royce, you’ll play a key role acting as the Technical Authority for sentencing MRO units returned from the field with an emphasis on serviceability and configuration of hardware. This is an exciting opportunity, as you’ll be responsible for the development and application of best practice methodologies, the delivery of training as well as providing technical support to the operations team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • HSE - Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm programme.
  • Product Safety - Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design intent, and that processes are followed so that our products and those of our suppliers conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate, and resolve safety related issues.
  • Quality - Drive a culture of zero defects within the organization. Works with all functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time.
  • Performing review of induction inspection to document damage and missing items
  • Perform ERP and MRP transactions including but not limited to creation of equipment, sentencing notification and parts ordering
  • Ensuring MRO processes comply with all legal requirements and customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • An Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience with manufacturing or assembly engineering
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience with OR;
  • A Masters degree OR;
  • In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience with MRO operations
  • To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an assembly/maintenance repair & overhaul (MRO) environment
  • Formal problem-solving accreditation (Lean, 6 Sigma, 8D)
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Read and interpret technical documents.
  • Basic knowledge of blueprints and parts schematics
