Procurement Development Leader

The role of the Purchasing Development Leader will support the execution of global functional improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement function. You will support the development and deployment of major transformation projects and / or process development and deployment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Processes and Procedures - Support the development, improvement and deployment of global purchasing processes, policies, templates and tools for the area of Procurement you are aligned to ensuring that they are fully integrated into the company's operating system(s).
  • Communication - Support the communication and execution of the strategy and policies relating to Procurement for the area of Procurement you are aligned to.
  • Reporting – Support and co-ordinate operational reporting and data integrity as per the requirements of the business.
  • Change Management – For the area of Procurement you are aligned to, support the development and deployment of functional change management projects across the Procurement function.
  • Reporting – For the area of Procurement you are aligned to, support and co-ordinate reporting as per the requirements of the function.
  • Programme management - Provide structure and governance to ensure the effective deployment of projects. Must be able to develop comprehensive workable issue solutions in complex situations.
  • Stakeholder Management - Nurture effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the function in order to integrate functional priorities.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations and 4+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or operations and 2+ years of experience OR
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline, OR
  • JD/PhD
  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience within engineering, program management, logistics or supply chain
  • In order to be considered for this position for location based in the US, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Contractors’ Purchasing Systems Reviews (Subpart 44.3)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SAP
  • Ability to innovate and drive a bold approach.
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures, and ways of working
  • Working across different areas of the business to collaborate with stakeholders and influence
  • Understanding procurement processes, systems and data
  • Programme and project management experience would be advantageous
