- Job Title - Principal Mechanical Engineer
- Location - Remote
- Contract Length - 12 Months
- Pay Rate - £60 - £75 hour (INSIDE IR35)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the engineering design remains aligned with the overall design intent and maintain its integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review, approve, and produce technical documentation including calculations, analyses, drawings, models, and reports.
- Foster effective cooperation across engineering teams and other departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring their needs are met, resolving technical and delivery issues, and keeping them informed on project progress.
- Identify and apply relevant procedures, codes, and standards to all engineering activities.
- Proactively communicate and manage risks at the task and project levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of an HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain or already holds Chartered status, demonstrating advanced expertise in your field.
- You are a leader who champions high performance and is not afraid to challenge existing processes for better outcomes.
- Knowledge of CAD tools and general engineering drawing practices is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Proven experience in leading a team effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
