As Platform Manager, you will play a key role within the Growth & Strategy Organization. You will be accountable for developing and operationalizing the strategy for the Industrial (IND) market, a core area of expected growth for the Gas Technology Equipment (GTE) organization. You will report to the GTE Growth and Strategy Leader.

 

Partner with the best

As Platform Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining the strategy for the IND segment in the company growth playbook and operationalize it through a clear action plan and regular follow-up. The Industrial sector should be intended as the group of non-oil & Gas markets (e.g. utilities, infrastructure, paper, hard-to-abate industries etc..) where Baker Hughes products (e.g. gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, electric generators, synchronous condensers etc…) can fit, especially in the area of power generation.    
  • Cooperating with the Marketing Team to understand the IND market dynamics and future trends, including among others: market size, growth rate, competitors’ landscape, customers’ requirements, etc. Articulating what is needed to increase market share both in terms of product development and go-to-market model.
  • Positioning the application of Baker Hughes products and solutions in the IND segment and how to maximize Baker Hughes competitiveness.
  • Identifying areas of growth outside of the Oil & Gas market and create business plans in order to win the target market share.
  • Cooperating with product leadership team to align products strategy and market needs, propose changes and innovations, develop business cases for New Product Developments, prioritize programs.
  • Supporting early engagements commercialization efforts for new products/solutions, in coordination with the Sales and Commercial team.
  • Presenting technical/commercial solutions to customers in early stage of projects or for strategic initiatives.
  • Participating, as needed, in industry events and contribute to papers to promote Baker Hughes technology and solutions. 

 

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a technical Degree (engineering preferred). 
  • Have several years of experience (preferably diversified) in at least two of the following functions: product management, marketing, sales, commercial, strategy, engineering.
  • Have knowledge of rotating machinery market and products portfolio.
  • Have experience in solutions for power generation (e.g. gas, steam, nuclear, renewables)
  • Have knowledge about industrial segments process and dynamics. Previous work experience connected with such segment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate high level of curiosity and passion for novelties.
  • Have an analytic and pragmatic mindset, ability to translate strategy into action plans.
  • Be able to listen and connect with diverse stakeholders
  • Have a customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable and growing business solutions and to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Be a self-starter and capable to navigate a large matrix organization.
  • Have communication and influencing skills. Be ability to deliver clear messages effectively and concisely at any level in both internal/external organizations.
