Technologist – Materials Manufacturing

An exciting opportunity exists for a high quality, highly committed individual to join the Materials, Chemistry & Corrosion department in the Manufacturing Support Team. The department supports the entire product lifecycle, from design and manufacture to in-service support for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant. The applicant should have good knowledge of manufacturing metallurgy and special processes such as welding, heat treatment and hot working although there will be opportunities to learn more through product-specific examples.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and able to engage with a number of key technical contacts to support design and manufacture issues and drive technical programmes.

This is a predominantly office-based role requiring substantial interaction with engineers from a range of disciplines, internal and external customers and sub-contractors. International and national travel may be required in this role

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
