Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical equipment for process plants, including piping and pressure vessels.
  • Participate in all project phases, from concept design to installation and commissioning.
  • Create detailed 3D models, optimizing plant layouts.
  • Interpret process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Solve complex problems using advanced engineering software.
  • Review and ensure compliance with fabrication packs for pressure equipment and piping.
  • Prepare specifications for piping and valves.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective design integration.
  • Stay current with industry-specific design standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in mechanical and plant/structural design
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Plant 3D
Familiarity with piping and pressure vessel design software (e.g., CAEPIPE, CAESAR, PV-Elite) is advantageous
Knowledge of design codes (ASME, SANS, EN)
