The Opportunity:  

As a member of the In Service Support (ISS) team, this role is responsible for providing logistics support to a multitude of L3 Harris projects, standing offers and services associated with the freight and distribution of L3 Harris communications equipment and ancillaries.

Required to perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the picking, shipping, receiving, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Responsible for efficient and effective communication to internal and external customers using mediums such as email, verbal, group discussion and 1-on-1. Able to work harmoniously in a team environment with appreciation and respect to equity and diversity, roles, positions and appropriate team behaviors which foster collaboration and inclusion.

Essential Functions: 

• Assist with the Management of the Commonwealth Inventory
• Control of inventory/issues/receipts of Loans
• Control of inventory/issues/receipts of Return Stores Group (RSG)
• Inventory migration to MILIS and ORACLE
• CCI / General Stocktaking & Assurance Checks
• Equipment serviceability maintenance
• Maintenance and management of MILIS accounts
• Packing and shipping of equipment for Domestic and International consignments
• Working with Import and Export Compliance to ensure International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) are correctly adhered
• Responsible for the physical security of stock whilst conducting duties in their work area
• Ensure Work Health and Safety compliance
• Active listening and ability to provide information within designated timeframes

Qualifications:

• Current Australian NV1 as a minimum
• Current forklift licence
• Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) qualifications for warehousing, stocktaking and maintenance
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

1. Dangerous Goods qualifications (IATA/DGR)
2. Recognised qualifications in Logistics/Inventory Management, People Leadership or equivalent (Cert III, IV or higher)
3. Previous experience working in the Defence Industry is a preference, though operating within a complex, international, matrix structure business will be considered alongside this.
4. Frontline management experience
5. Proficient in MS Office suite
