The Finance Analyst position within the US Defence Early Lifecycle & Naval organization plays a vital role in guiding the team through key financial reporting and decision-making. The successful candidate will be part of a high performing, passionate, and supportive Finance team. You will provide key insights and analysis to drive financial performance and the delivery of critical business initiatives. You will also provide financial analysis services to US Defence Finance and Program teams, including Sales and Commercial Teams, from inception of opportunities to their realization in financial plans and forecasts; and contribute to business wide control environment and process improvements.

Key Accountabilities:
Own the monthly financial reporting process; responsibilities include posting journals and completing actual and forecast schedules with supporting commentary and variance analysis
Lead and support in developing and maintaining the Strategic Plan, Five Year Plan, in year forecast, and AP’ly opportunities, threats, and levers
Perform monthly Balance Sheet reviews, validating and explaining key Balance Sheet movements and closing out key control items as required
Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, company policies, local operating procedures, and contract requirements
Support the development and maintenance of long-term project and contract profit plans, including Long-Term Contract Reviews (LTCRs)
Provide ad hoc support such as, but not limited to, contract billings and payments and misc. financial analysis as required for the Defence US Early Lifecycle & Naval Team
Basic Requirements:
Associate’s Degree with at least 4+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience;
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience;
Master’s degree; OR
JD/PhD
