We currently have an exciting opportunity in Satellite Ground System Integration & Test to join our team located in Englewood, CO.
This position can also be located in San Diego, CA or Huntsville, AL.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Individual contributor supporting the Ground Segment IPT for assigned program.
- Ensure integrated satellite simulation test bed solution comprised of internal, COTS, FOSS meets requirements and supports regression testing flight software deliveries
- Support development of ICD, IDDs and test plans/procedures.
- Collaborate with all levels of engineering staff on design, integration and test matters and support other teams/disciplines as necessary.
- Ensures RVTM is in alignment with subsystem integration and verification plan for the space vehicle simulation test bed
- Develop SV simulation test bed integration plan based on capability deliveries
- Coordinate subsystem integration plan based on delivery schedule of flight software
- Define integration test cases as part of plan
- Verifies space vehicle simulation test bed requirements, preferably using test-automation
- Manage flight software versions on test bed
- Support development of ground and operations related program documentation.
- Develops training material for operational readiness.
- Collaborates in design of new space systems including: requirement alignment, conduct of design reviews, verification and test support
- Troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.
- Follow solution/ product through all phases of the project as needed
- Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Intermediate proficiency using Python for integration and test automation
- Ability to identify and incorporate libraries and other reuse baselines for efficiency
- Experience leveraging object-oriented principles, design patterns, and behavior driven development to develop test modules
- Experience developing test-automation modules to verify subsystem requirements and follow-on regression testing per integration plan
- Experience with test automation and API tools such as Postman, Cucumber is desirable but not required
- Familiarity with bus subsystems (GNC, Prop, EPS, CDH, RF) to develop test command sequences to execute against flight software deliveries
- Experience testing FDIR capabilities of flight software
- Prior experience as a systems engineer supporting development of satellite command and control and mission planning systems desirable.
- Candidate will transition to supporting LEOP rehearsals, LEOP as they bring their experience from drafting operational readiness manuals to bear
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
- Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work extended hours as required.
