BAE Systems is looking for a highly qualified Engineering professional to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting the Lead Project Officer Branch and MK21A Acquisition Program. The MK21A is a Joint Air Force and DOE program that will replace the Air Force MK12A and modernize the re-entry body and nuclear components. Team members will assist the Government with defining requirements, translating requirements into design criteria, evaluating alternative design approaches, and developing system specifications.
In addition, the BAE Engineer will:
Liaison with DOE and Lead Project Officer Groups and executives on a regular basis.
Produce and/or review complex technical documents, specifications and standards.
Develops, reviews and manages complex system level requirements.
Researches and develops complex system designs and architectures.
Provides analysis for complex system designs and architectures and recommends design modifications.
Verifies and validates complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
Assist the government in leading a W87-1 Sub-Group with assigned activities, execution of meetings, and resolution of action items.

Understanding and have experience working with the Minuteman III and/or Sentinel programs.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn the DOD acquisitions process as well as other relevant directives, policies, or instructions.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn the DOE 6X acquisition process as well as other relevant directives, policies, or instructions.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn Stockpile to Target Sequence (STS) systems engineering, engage with and brief DOE and LPO senior leadership.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both writing and orally.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
