An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Fitter – Inspector to join the Components and Modules of Experimental Engineering team, based in Derby.

As an Electrical Fitter – Inspector, you will be responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of vital measurement equipment which are fitted to modules and engines.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Perform electrical applications and inspections on components, and test root engine components according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Identify and raise non-conformance issues.

  • Ensure products meet technical and quality specifications, whilst adhering to deadlines to achieve performance targets and programme delivery commitments.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and identify best practices for the business.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace environment.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A recognised time-served apprenticeship in an Electrical Engineering discipline (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, BTEC national or equivalent).

  • Experience using a range of electrical equipment and interpreting engineering drawing to meet product quality standards.

  • Ideally, relevant electrical experience in fault finding, instrumentation application, and rigging.

  • Proficiency in PC use.

  • Willingness to develop new skills and undertake training to support business needs.
