What You'll Do
As a Dynamic Work Execution Platform (DWEP) Lead Analyst, the candidate will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for the implementation and administration of Smart Electronic Procedures using the NextAxiom DWEP software platform through the creation of Dynamic Instructions, Forms, and Workflows. Ensures that processes are reengineered around the integration of Dynamic Instructions to reduce human performance issues with processes and increase the amount of data available for each process. Interacts and collaborates with individual or multidiscipline teams of design, manufacturing, and quality personnel in production areas to determine best practices, and establish business rules, for manufacturing, inspection, equipment set-up, tooling, NC programs, etc. You will interface with other professionals from Y-12 organizations including departments within Mission Engineering, Program Integration, Production/Operations, IS&S, and others. Your interfaces with IS&S will help to maintain, streamline, and standardize requirements for software and hardware solutions ultimately strengthening the IT infrastructure for Mission Engineering. You will regularly meet with the DWEP software vendor, NextAxiom, to troubleshoot and discuss bugs, issues, and enhancement requests. You will engage with complex-wide initiatives that are ongoing related to the Digital Transformation of the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE).
Responsibilities also include:
- Develop business rules that govern working documents; including procedure(s) defining roles and responsibilities, as well as the governing processes for the creation of Smart Electronic Procedures.
- Develop training using dynamic instructions for authors, supervisors, approvers, etc.
- Develop a writer’s guide to standardize formatting and explain tooltips for dynamic instructions.
- Help support all phases of smart procedure implementation from inception through completion.
- Assist with process/system SME walkdowns of production areas using side by side demonstrations of dynamic instructions to prove-in the concepts of dynamic instructions.
- Assigned activities require daily access to numerous nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.

Minimum Job Requirements
CORE TECH:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- OR a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- OR a PhD with 0 years of relevant experience
- OR Twelve or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
CORE ENGINEERING:

- Typical experience ranges from seven to fifteen plus years.
- Extensive technical expertise and full knowledge of related engineering systems, applications of engineering methods, and engineering application of computers
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to various engineering disciplines Ability to apply technical skills of engineering; ability to conduct formal presentations to plant personnel and other stakeholders; ability to review projects for technical accuracy; ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word
- Solid background in disciplines that focus on Computer Science and IT Architecture
- Experience in applying Design, Product, Process, and System Engineering principles
- Experience leading teams of multi-disciplinary professionals
- Experience gathering requirements, developing project plans, budgets, and identifying and managing risks related to assigned projects
- Familiarity with concepts related to human factors, configuration management, database solutions, data management, product life cycle management, system reliability, electronic procedures, and human interfaces Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong desire to learn new concepts, seek out state of the art software and process solutions, and implement process improvements with minimal disruption to ongoing operations
