An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Methods Engineer - Mechanical Integrity to join our Mechanical Integrity Digital Methods Team.

In this role, you will be working as part of team that loves, supports, and enhances the productivity of the frontline engineering team through creation and maintenance of core technologies. Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing

In this exciting role you will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the current digital toolset using a mix of Fortran C, C++, and Python.
  • Support the userbase in a direct and rewarding way, no help desk to hide behind here!
  • Identify opportunities for the team to create or enhance existing toolsets and work directly with the customer to ensure they deliver what was intended.
  • Support and manage the release of toolset updates via Harvest and DevOps.
  • Work Closely with strategic partners and universities to productionise revolutionary capability.

  • An engineer with a software mindset.

  • A desire to learn and a track-record of learning quickly.
  • An understanding of how simulation codes work.
  • Knowledge of RR Simulation Workbench SC03 and its plugins and knowledge of RR Simulation Workbench SC03 Scripting are desirable.
