Data Engineer III

As the Data Engineer III, you will enable the administration and end-to-end viability of the Data Solutions & Insights team's technology resources and customer support functions. You will collaborate with Data Solutions & Insights Team members, data owners, consumers, and key stakeholders to implement complex data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large sets of data to create valuable insights using multiple platforms. You’ll work with business analysts and data scientists to understand technical problems and needs, secure the data supply chain, implement analysis solutions, and visualize outcomes that support technical capabilities. You’ll understand how to apply technologies to solve big data problems and to develop innovative big data solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure technical team resources are functioning on a daily basis and serve as the team's primary point of contact in researching and resolving technical issues
  • Continuously develop and improve software tools and resources used by team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers, enabling and expanding their capabilities to deliver value
  • Advanced database development, data preparation- Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), visualization design and implementation
  • Utilize the primary technical programming languages & resources: SQL, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SAP, Power BI, ArangoDB/NoSQL
  • Implement controlled definition, design, build, test, verification, and documentation and research and identify industry technical advancements and opportunities and ensure adherence to required industry, company, and team requirements
  • Train new team members and provide Team support for technical and customer support needs
  • Collaborate with the team and key stakeholders to manage projects, gather requirements, identify opportunities, and move projects forward. And support team tools, resources, and processes ensuring functionality, viability, and coordinated efforts

Basic Requirements:

  • An Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or Informatics, OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or Informatics, OR
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or Informatics, OR
  • A JD/PhD
  • To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced experience developing data Extraction, Transformation and Loading routines using Python
  • Advanced Business Intelligence domain knowledge
  • Advanced experience with Power BI dashboard development
  • Advanced experience with SQL Server administration and/or development
  • Advanced experience leading development project teams
  • Advanced experience with ETL using Python
