Full Time

Heybridge/Hybrid (3 days/week in the office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Support Coordinator/ Administrator at Rolls-Royce Power Systems (Marine industry) in Heybridge.

In this role, you will gather data, analyse performance against contracts, complete customer status reports and issue those to the customers at the customer's determined frequency. You will provide excellent support for the sales & services team to a portfolio of customers and internal staff. The role is customer-facing and requires good communication skills and to actively deal with issues that you are aware of before it becomes a problem for the customer.

At Rolls-Royce Power Systems, our product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids. NautIQ Solutions is a part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems that focuses on delivering electrical, automation and autonomy products to our Naval and Commercial Marine customers. The business is organised as two Product Centres in Bristol and Heybridge with shared support resources provided from our teams in East Grinstead; we operate an integrated programme delivery team across the Bristol and Heybridge sites.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, a minimum of three days per week.

What you will be doing:

In this interesting role you will look after:

  • Order processing and fulfilment for assigned customers and producing customer order acknowledgements. Issuing Quotations, creating Sales Orders/Work Orders.
  • Delivering second-to-none customer service to the customers and dealing with a wide range of day-to-day queries around, orders, products and returns.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Liaise with Company Partners such as Schaller, Gitiesse, for all service enquiries and orders.
  • Monitoring customer and supplier financial accounts.
  • Logging orders onto the company ERP system. Log and supporting Customer complaints.
  • Booking all aspects of travel and accommodation for Services Support staff as well as any visiting customers. Referral of all customer correspondence to available field Engineers.
  • Helping with telephone and email technical support of company-supported products.

  • Proficient in MS Office software and ideally you have experience with ERP systems or similar and engine diagnostics software. On-the-job training will be provided for the relevant business IT systems.
  • Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail.
  • An organised approach to tasks.
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment.
  • Able to adapt and respond quickly to changing requirements.
  • Capable of working on your own initiative.
  • Clean full UK Driving Licence.
