Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: £29,060 - £41,400 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role

AWE is currently recruiting for a Local Exhaust Ventilation [LEV] TExT Engineer for the Engineering - Production and Assets team. This role will involve carrying out legislative LEV Thorough, Examination and Testing of various LEV systems to determine system performance against baseline and regulatory requirements. The ideal LEV Engineer is a skilled problem-solver with proven technical expertise within the LEV industrial industry. The role will also entail carrying out other regulatory tasks such as In-Situ Filter Testing, Breathing Air Quality inspection and testing.

A full driving licence is essential for this role as there will be some local travel between our sites in Aldermaston and Burghfield using company vehicles.

Who are we looking for?

We do need you to have the following:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Heating & Ventilation/Mechanical engineering or other Industry qualifications plus industry experience
• Experience of Inspection, testing, maintaining and fault finding on various LEV & Ventilation systems
• Full driving licence
• BOHS P601 qualified (desirable) although training is available

• You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
