Job Description:

The role of the Content writer is to create written content to support all internal and external communication campaigns as well as creating and managing relationships with external media agencies.


Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role involve writing the weekly email newsletter, running internal communication campaigns, writing company blogs and articles for the website whilst also liaising with external PR companies and managing media affiliates to amplify articles and expand reach.


Job Requirements:

The key job requirements are:

  • Conduct research and write articles for our website (at least 2-3 per week)
  • To take ownership of our weekly newsletter, writing articles; editing content and analysing results
  • To develop CORE POWER’s tone of voice and ensure all content is edited for grammar, punctuation, style, and accuracy, ensuring it adheres to CORE POWER's brand guidelines and ToV.
  • To review and edit all external facing copy for presentations, emails, newsletters, blogs, whitepapers, articles, press releases and other external communications as required.
  • To collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop campaigns from concept to delivery
  • Monitor performance analytics for the newsletter and work with digital marketer to identify strategies that enhance subscribers’ experience and increase readership
  • Develop & manage relationships with journalists, news sites and media affiliates and use this network as an additional outreach channel
  • Create engaging copy for email campaigns across all marketing campaigns
  • Create engaging copy for social media posts, newsletters and blogs
  • Work with HR team to write internal messaging campaigns and internal newsletter to increase collaboration across the wider CP team
  • Write articles and work with media affiliates to get articles published in the wider media
  • Continuously raise the bar for writing fresh copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action
  • Research updates and trends within our industry and generate ideas for content

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree or professional diploma in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline

 

Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years’ of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Experience using HubSpot, CRM and analytics tools is preferable
  • Campaign management experience


Technical Competencies:

  • Has excellent project management and organisational skills. 
  • Proven experience in a communications/ journalist/ copywriting role previously
  • An understanding of CRM platforms and data management tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A creative writer, with the ability to create engaging copy for campaigns
  • Someone who is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Is analytical, able to sort through data and make recommendations
  • Is confident to present ideas for content, targeting and testing that can be tested and potentially implemented into the strategy
