AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer (Design Review) to join our team and work on newly awarded projects across various sectors and locations within KSA. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure and power projects.

Key Responsibilities
 

- Civil & Structural Engineering Design Review

  •   Responsible for the design review of civil and structural engineering elements for power projects, including substations and Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL), ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

- Document Review for Converter/Transition Stations

  •   Perform detailed civil engineering document reviews for converter and transition stations, ensuring alignment with technical and regulatory requirements.

- Substation Projects Design Review

  •   Conduct comprehensive design reviews for civil and structural engineering aspects of substation projects up to 400kV, ensuring safety, functionality, and structural integrity of the design.

- Overhead Line (OHL) and Cable Projects

  •   Review civil engineering documents for Overhead Line (OHL) projects and underground cabling systems up to 400kV, verifying that design plans meet the necessary engineering and construction standards.

- Site Execution Oversight

  •   Provide technical guidance and oversight during the site execution phase of civil and structural works, ensuring that site construction adheres to approved design documents.

- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams

  •   Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and site teams to ensure civil/structural designs are fully integrated into the overall project framework.

- Client Coordination and Design Approvals

  •   Liaise with clients to review and approve civil/structural designs and provide technical advice to ensure project goals and regulatory requirements are met.

- Quality and Safety Assurance

  •   Ensure all civil and structural designs comply with quality assurance and safety standards, focusing on risk mitigation and adherence to local and international building codes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in civil and structural design and review, particularly in power projects such as substations and transmission lines.

  • Proven experience in reviewing design documents for civil engineering works in substations (up to 400kV) and OHTL projects.

  • Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles applied to high-voltage infrastructure, including substations, cabling, and OHL systems.

  • Familiarity with international standards and codes related to civil and structural engineering in power infrastructure projects.

  • Experience in providing technical oversight during the construction phase of civil works and ensuring design compliance on-site.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
