We are seeking an experienced clinician and scientist, who in addition to clinical responsibilities (noted below) must demonstrate academic proficiency in acquiring and utilizing independent external research funding to join a high-volume practice in an academic tertiary care setting. The candidate is expected to have expertise in Cardio-Oncology well as general cardiology. The candidate must have certification from the international cardio-oncology society or at least 3 years dedicated experience in practicing cardio-oncology in a practice of adequate volume of patients (1-2 patients a week with 100 new patient evaluations annual as a minimum). Candidates must have experience in managing cardiovascular conditions in patients receiving a variety of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, small molecule therapy, radiotherapy, nuclear therapy, T-cell therapy and bone marrow transplant. In addition, proficiency in echocardiography is required and it will be complementary to aforementioned clinical responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include inpatient hospital service rotations and participation in outpatient clinics which are aligned with the individuals’ expertise. Teaching students, residents, fellows, and engaging scholarly activities are expected in accordance with the Mayo Clinic Model of Care.
Board eligible/certified in CV Medicine, 3+ years of experience in Cardio-oncology and/ or IC-OS, experience in Echo, and external research funding; in addition, must be able to obtain Florida state medical license.
