Associate, Strategy & Analytics

AtkinsRéalis’ Corporate Strategy team advises the Board, CEO, sector Presidents, and senior executives on key strategic issues, providing fact-based insights to inform strategic decisions. As a Corporate Strategy position, you will play an essential role in developing both corporate-wide and business-specific strategies. This includes contributing to strategy initiatives, conducting detailed analyses, and participating in high-level strategy discussions.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to AtkinsRéalis’ overall strategy while gaining exposure to diverse business units. This role offers the chance to engage with senior leaders, develop a top-management toolkit, and create executive-level presentations and performance reports. Your role within the team

As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will report to the Senior Director Corporate Strategy and Development and be responsible for:

  • Support the creation and maintenance of a corporate strategic planning calendar, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Build, maintain and support comprehensive operational and valuation models and tools that leverage financial and market data to evaluate alternative strategies and their potential impact on growth, margins and valuation.
  • Conduct primary research for corporate and regional strategies, typically focusing on market size, growth rates, key competitors and key clients.
  • Develop robust operational/financial investment case studies to analyze, communicate and support growth opportunities across the business.
  • Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, IR, and M&A teams to ensure a seamless integration of strategy into company-wide initiatives.
  • Work across functions to facilitate detailed financial reporting and analysis to support strategy execution.
  • Provide bespoke capital markets analysis to inform company-wide strategy and support key decision-making.
  • Develop granular plans in support of targeted transformation initiatives.
  • Become a business partner to the regional businesses and corporate functions, consistently providing detailed analytical support and helping drive useful insights.

Qualifications for the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, ideally in corporate finance, strategy, investment banking or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience working with large data sets, financial modeling, and data visualization tools is an asset.
  • Ability to confidently engage with senior business leaders, communicate effectively, and build trust in data-driven insights.
  • Demonstrated capability in translating complex information into clear, concise presentations.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • A natural curiosity and openness to learning, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with AtkinsRéalis markets, projects, and competitors is a plus.
  • Experience in management consulting or an engineering/scientific background is an advantage.
