Job Title: Aerothermal Engineer

The Fan & Compressor Aerothermal Team based in Derby has an opportunity for an Aerothermal Engineer to join the team.
The Aerothermal Team is responsible for the development of Aerothermal capability. The team delivers technology from TRL1 -7 in conjunction with our strategic partners. Work within the team ranges from the original inception of design work, through NPI design and through into the EDP. The team supports Production and Fleet issues.
The Fan & Compressor Aerothermal capability covers gas path aerodynamics, blade aerodynamics and whole Fan & compressor modelling. It relies on skills in Computational Fluid Dynamics at a range of levels of fidelity and testing capability in a range of TRL rigs. Design and capability generation relies on a knowledge and understanding of the interaction of these components both locally and at an engine level.
This role is part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability.
