We are seeking a candidate to lead a small developer team and collaborate with our Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) subject matter experts to deliver to the Department of Defense a new build Web application for ingesting diverse medical countermeasure data sources, analyzing trends, visualizing content, and controlling access across multiple user types.
The successful candidate will evaluate the existing prototype, engage end users (create user stories), define a compliant architecture and framework, explore the user types and their access requirements, then iteratively develop and refine the prototype database using Agile best practices. As a leader within the team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality, reliable, practical, and user-friendly solutions. Using an Agile approach you will ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and scope.
Responsibilities:
As an ASP.NET Product Development Lead, you will be a pivotal member of a collaborative team of talented software engineers, developers, managers, and clients in a fast-paced, iterative, and agile development environment. You will play a key role in a program designed to improve the operation of the Department of Defense’s medical countermeasures applications.
Your daily duties will include designing, developing, and testing web applications using .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL Server. You will engage with internal and client personnel to understand specific system and functional requirements and work closely with project task leaders and a cross-functional team to plan and successfully implement initiatives. You will analyze and apply your expertise to select technologies, approaches, techniques, and methodologies based on business and system objectives.
You will develop trust and confidence with clients by demonstrating a deep understanding of the program and the ability to anticipate and capitalize on opportunities for optimization. Your role will also involve participating in the development and delivery of effective internal and client presentations of the system and/or work program. Additionally, you will serve as a Software Quality Officer for the client applications, working with the team to validate the data using industry and Noblis best practices.
In your first six months, you will work with the client and team to create a minimal viable product (MVP) application, which will be iteratively improved and expanded upon over time. This role will involve close coordination with the development team, client stakeholders, and a Noblis AI/ML team. If you enjoy being actively engaged with an Agile project team and our client to deliver meaningful improvements to important research programs, this is the job for you.
