The Quality Inspector will be responsible for but not limited to, performing Dimensional inspections on projects in addition to other non-NDE activities that may be requested. - Conduct Receipt inspections in accordance with written procedures and acceptance criteria then complete applicable paperwork.
- Conduct mechanical inspections using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and complete applicable paperwork.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings correctly.
- Issue non-conformances reports for discrepant items and tag the items appropriately.
REQUIREMENTS - Must have minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical (dimensional) inspector.
- Successful applicant will have a systematic approach to work, be detail oriented and able to finish assignments with little supervision.
- Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Access).
- Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
- Good teamwork skills, participating in team environment.
- Willing and capable of standing the entire shift.
- Willing and capable of working Off-Shifts to support company needs.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and principles to support working in a safe environment
PERFERED QUALIFICATIONS - Currently qualified (or documented experience with) Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precision geometrical dimensional inspections (GD&T) such as FARO laser trackers and/or Arms.
