Manage multiple large, complex and high hazard projects involving major financial, contractual and reputational commitments. Provide strategic direction to the client, project partners, project managers, other project participants and Westinghouse Regional Team to optimize short and long term profitability, strengthen long term service delivery relationships with the client, and develop strong relationships with local, influential stakeholders. Implement and monitor Program and Project management systems and controls for projects. Generate new business opportunities by understanding client strategic plans and evaluating potential scope expansion areas to support the decommissioning business. Liaise with other Westinghouse product lines, in order to open up and advise upon adjacent opportunities
Your Day to Day
- Evaluate, develop and lead business growth opportunities i.e. obtain order, up-sales, scope increases, technological advancements, etc.
- Supporting and Developing Proposals for Commercial and Government Customers
- Create long term value solutions that translate into order entry/backlog
- Develop WEC and partner relationships
- Formulate and implement highly complex product plans. Improve development of program plans and facilitate communications/ expectations via program kick-offs, interim program review meetings, etc.
- Analyze and resolve highly complex technical, commercial and operational issues to provide high quality services/systems, enhance positive customer and supplier relations, and increase/maintain profit margin.
- Analyze contract requirements and assist in developing project-specific deliverables to enable successful program implementation, to enhance customer satisfaction and program performance. Analyze needs and develop unique customer satisfaction improvements to address customer needs for support, high quality and efficiency to provide quick turnaround and maintain performance.
- Negotiate with customers and suppliers to obtain contracts which contribute revenue growth, significant profit margin and effectively manage contract changes.
- Understand problems and points of view and communicate on broad range of technical disciplines to resolve technical, commercial, and regulatory issues.
- Serve as Westinghouse Project Manager to develop team agreements
- Lead/Participate in consortium/partner development in offer phases and Lead consortium and partners in execution of contracts
- Responsible to meet or exceed as-sold financial objectives for assigned projects.
- Assist in formulation of strategies and cost estimates for new projects.
- Use and support Westinghouse project management systems and controls for various projects assuring senior management is provided with up-to-date and accurate reports of each project status.
- Support financial planning objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective project organization. Establish staffing levels and for project operations. Make job assignments, supervise and direct efforts of department personnel. Optimize personnel to maintain organizational excellence.
- Coordinate and work closely with in varying levels of Westinghouse management.
- Maintain good working relationships with the customers.
- Promote Westinghouse Project Excellence with customers especially PM qualification and certification
- Actively promote a culture that ensures positive Human Performance behaviors; ensure project personnel have the awareness and understanding of industry, customer and Westinghouse expectations.
- Personal leadership/behavior of Industrial and Nuclear Safety and continuous learning on your projects.
- Regular interface and communications with the senior levels of Westinghouse management as well as the Director, of Reactor Decommissioning.
- Deliver MAD greater than or equal to MAS – Projects to be delivered safely, on-time, with high quality, and first time execution success
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or recognized equivalent.
- PMI Certification or equivalent
- Willingnes to take long time assignments ( for around 6 - 12 months) in Europe whenever required
- +10 years of project leadership/management and related engineering experience is required.
- Prior experience in nuclear field would be an added value
- Strong communication skills and a proven history of managing and leading teams effectively and interfacing with multiple functional groups.
- Experience with developing/implementing new business opportunities.
- Experience with Decommissioning and Dismantling activities and technology
- Experience with Government Decommissioning
- Must be willing to relocate/accept long term assignment at Nuclear Facilities throughout Europe and abroad
- Previous experience in plant operations preferred.
- Language Skills: French and English (Must be Business Proficient in both Languages )
