PhD Student (m/f/d) Chemical physics of nuclear spin hyperpolarized molecules (25823)

We are the Section Biomedical Imaging of the University Hospital Kiel and Kiel University (Germany). We are working on different imaging and hyperpolarization modalities under one roof. Our MR group covers all dominant hyperpolarization methods: Xenon, DNP, and parahydrogen.

We are looking for professional and competent support to start as soon as possible, limited for 3 years.

Your role:

• The project continues our preliminary studies (Peters et al., Sci Adv. 2023 https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.add3643 and Peters et al. preprint, 2024: https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-4668036/v1)
• The project's main task would be the study of nuclear spin relaxation of novel hyperpolarized with dDNP tracer
• We are interested in experimental or theoretical contributions (or both).

Your profile:

• The applicant must have a Master's degree (or similar) in physics, chemistry or engineering or related disciplines
• Knowledge in programming and labwork are advantageous
