Under the general supervision of an authorized user, the PET/CT technologist will perform high quality, diagnostic procedures and carry out all related functions pertaining to PET/CT examinations. Will collaborate with Radiologists, Physicists and Radiation Safety to assure all equipment, policies and procedures are adhering to ACR standards, manufacturers recommendations and NYS Radiation Safety Guidelines.
AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit) and Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (must obtain within 1 year of appointment), one year experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
*Must have limited permit by time of appointment if NYS License/Registration hasn't been obtained yet.
*Candidates who possess an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license or eligible, and no experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1) position.
BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology. NYS License/Registration in Nuclear Medicine. Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive technical experience required.
40 hrs/week; Monday-Friday; Specific hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
