Scope of Position 

The Nuclear Medicine/ PET Division encompasses imaging rooms located in University Hospital, East Hospital, and The James Cancer Hospital.  The imaging rooms consist of state of the art PET/CT’s, and SPECT/CT cameras.  The Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging technologist works closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical scientists to provide high quality imaging for the care and treatment of our patients.

 Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Technologist performs nuclear medicine In vivo and In vitro procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation (including SPECT and PET), accomplishes computer processing and image enhancement, and provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic and therapeutic interpretation, under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Supervisor, and Imaging Services Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography, Nuclear Technologist certification and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board registered and Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology Licensure. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
