Your responsibilities
The SY-STI-TCD section is responsible for the conceptual design, construction, operation, and maintenance of beam-intercepting devices across CERN's accelerator complex. These devices are precision mechanical equipment that operate in harsh environments and must be reliable for the successful operation of CERN accelerators.
Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and adept at multitasking? Take part! Join our multidisciplinary team and you will be involved in supporting mechanical dimensioning, design, and project follow-up for the construction of the new ISOLDE facility beam dumps.
Additionally, you will coordinate the production of equipment, schedule assembly, and conduct all necessary mechanical tests prior to installation. You will also contribute to mechanical support activities within the accelerator complex and the operation of our team's mechanical workshop.
