Systems & Safety Analysis Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage workload planning and resource assignments for the Systems and Safety Analysis group in Europe with + 25 engineers in 4 different locations (Madrid, Tarragona, Nivelles, Manheim).
- Provide oversight for a team of engineers with a wide range of cross-cutting and integrated skills and functions (from safety analysis to fluid systems, procedures and severe accident) supporting both operating fleet and new plant projects.
- Responsible for organizational, personnel development and resource planning; implements Global Competency Model into all aspects of managing personnel.
- Ensure close communication with related functional teams and leadership.
- Interfacing closely with the EMEA and Americas BUs to ensure resource alignment and proper skillset development.
- Effective onboarding of new employees and sets up mentoring and development plans
- Sets day-to-day operational objectives in alignment with the project for individuals or teams, ensures training and adherence to policies and procedures for assurance of safety, health and regulatory compliance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of applicable engineering with strong, progressively more responsible leadership experience
- Possesses knowledge of nuclear power plant design; experience with safety and/or severe accident analysis preferred
- Strong communication skills; strength in leading multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating cross-functionally
- Ability to organize and delegate work and ensure deliverables are completed on time with high quality
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Experience in making presentations and conducting meetings
- Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
- Willingness to travel for resource and project-related needs (<20% travel)
- Open to candidate being located in Spain, Belgium or Germany with strong ability to manage multi-located team; multi-lingual including strong English speaking and written skills preferred
