JOB DESCRIPTION - Data Warehouse Developer
Data Warehouse Developer’s main function will be guiding in the architecture, design, and implementation of Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions for law enforcement / public safety operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To develop and implement strategies for gathering data from operational databases and third-party vendors for inclusion in the warehouse;
- To conduct a high level review of the data and data architecture to determine its suitability for supporting the identified requirements;
- To develop, recommend an overall strategy for delivering enhanced DW/BI capabilities, including overall methodology, project scope, relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards;
- To derive a roadmap based on the data realities and business priorities to assure the DW/BI environment will meet the organization’s ongoing and future reporting and analytic needs;
- To define and develop user interfaces for interacting with data warehouses and data marts;
- To develop technology solutions related to data storage, reporting, importing data from multiple internal and external sources;
- Manage all aspects of application integration in.NET and data integration with SQL Server and associated technologies and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience designing and implementing DWBI systems, OLAP and data cube technology
- 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS technologies and Tableau
COMMUNICATIONS AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and inter-personal skills
- Leadership abilities are required leading project teams and mentoring others to translate data requirements into logical data models.
