Food Service Grill Cook Responsibilities
- Preps daily breakfast and lunch items per the weekly menu
- Takes orders from guests and prepares items accordingly
- Serves guests in an efficient, friendly manner
- Ensures all food is at the correct temperature and logged into the temperature book
- Uses approved recipes and productions standards to ensure a consistent, quality product
- Carries pots and pans of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator
- Stores food in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, labeling and food safety rotation procedures
- Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
- Performs other duties as assigned by Holtec CafΓ© Management
Requirements
- Positive, helpful attitude toward customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
- Team player
- Ability to work a flat top, fryer, grill and other kitchen equipment
- Basic food knowledge
- Basic math and reading skills
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time
- Knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards and register receipts
- Must have ability to work with and lead other crew members, as well as the ability to take direction from Supervisor/Manager.
- SERV safe certification is a plus, but not a requirement
The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
