Position Summary
The Department of Physics at Indiana University, Bloomington ( https://physics.indiana.edu ), invites applications for tenure-track positions at the level of assistant or associate professor to begin in the fall of 2023. We are seeking two candidates, one in each of the areas: Theoretical High Energy Physics, broadly defined; and Experimental High Energy Physics with an emphasis on research involving neutrinos. We seek individuals to fill these positions who are committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The High-Energy Theory group has an active research program focusing on physics of the standard model and beyond. Group members have strong ties to other local research efforts, including the high-energy collider and neutrino experimental groups, the Indiana University Center for Spacetime Symmetries, and the Astronomy and Mathematics Departments. Faculty working in the High Energy Astro-particle Physics group at Indiana University have an active research program focused on the NOvA and DUNE neutrino experiments. The new faculty members will be joining a department with strong synergies in related areas of theoretical and experimental particle and nuclear physics. Experimental efforts include groups working on ATLAS , DUNE , NOvA, COHERENT , LEGEND , Project-8, GlueX, MOLLER , BES - III and STAR . Faculty members have access to extensive technical staff and facilities and computational resources within Physics and elsewhere on campus.
