Employees enjoy 30 days paid holiday in addition to Bank holidays.Role:FIA Tech is seeking an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) expert to join our Connectivity team during a period of exciting growth. The team is responsible for integrating CCPs, execution platforms, back-office providers, brokers and buy-side firms with FIA Tech applications.Responsibilities:
- Implementation Design: Design generic transformation workflows to be applied consistently to specific implementations.
- Implementation Governance: Monitor ETL implementations to ensure that correct practices are followed.
- Business Analysis: Prepare ETL specifications for implementation specialists.
- ETL Implementation: In a no-code development environment, transform data from a variety of sources to various target formats. Write custom SQL functions.
- Global Configuration: Maintain global configuration files.
- Test Plans: Write scenarios and prepare samples for ETL testing.
- Issue Management: Troubleshoot systemic issues and identify solutions. When required, work with vendors to address issues.
- Solution Assessment: Assess new solutions to determine whether they meet our requirements. Identify limitations.
- Version Control: Assess existing and alternative version control processes. Identify necessary changes. Plan new/modified version control approach.
- Onboarding Support: Work with the Onboarding team on technical requirements gathering for data feed implementations.
- Operations Support: Design and implement reporting processes to support day-to-day operations.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the Onboarding team to ensure projects and deliverables are properly scoped and are completed within project timelines. Communicate changes, delays, and outages to the responsible Onboarding team member. Issue network setup requests, track progress and report delays.
- UAT and Go-Live Management: Ensure that all scenarios in scope are tested and issues are addressed. Prepare go-live and roll-back plans and share with all parties involved. Manage a controlled go live. Provide post-go-live support.
- Documentation: Document ETL processes. Prepare handover documentation for Operations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of work experience demonstrating strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- 2+ years ETL experience
- CloverDX or other ETL system experience
- Futures/ETD operations experience
- SQL proficiency
- Knowledge of data transfer protocols preferred (e.g., FIX, sFTP, Kafka, MQ)
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience
- Ability to think strategically and fully understand a problem before identifying a solution
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Programming knowledge preferred
