Job Description:
• Full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.8 FTE) employment available
• Regularly seeing patients in outpatient non-invasive cardiology clinic at Robbinsdale, Maple Grove, and outreach sites. This will involve seeing new and follow-up patients. Provider must be willing to travel to all locations.
• Participating in the inpatient cardiology rounding service. Non-Invasive Cardiology call rotation Q7 - Weeknight call 5:00 pm-8:00 am, Weekend call 24 hours
• Participating in the noninvasive cardiology call schedule.
• Participating in reading rest/stress echoes and nuclear studies; performing TEEs and cardioversions.
• The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides direct patient care in the clinic and hospital setting and examines and treats patients with cardiovascular disorders and diseases.
• Consult with customers and their families to determine the appropriate course of treatment and recommend and order tests to help diagnose the condition and/or determine the extent of the illness.
• Work with a health care management team to provide continuity of care and unmatched customer service to our cardiology patients.
• Perform general cardiology duties as assigned in support of the Blaze cardiology group, including but not limited to: cardiology call coverage, responding to emergent cardiac cases (as appropriate), inpatient rounding, clinic services, outreach services, reading cardiac imaging, and other responsibilities consistent with training and medical staff privileging.

• Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: Not responsible for direct admissions, Hospitalists will handle admissions, 5-10 consults per day
• Number of Cardiologists Physician in Group: 17
• Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers? APPs will support rounding and will need supervision; also supervise stress tests cardiac rehab as needed
