Provide daily management and support to team members and ensure proper development and execution of comprehensive strategies that exceed both short term and long term targets. In this position, the incumbent can expect to perform the following duties:
- Lead formulation of procurement and materials strategy, solicitation of quotations, analyzing contract proposals, risk assessment, negotiating pricing, delivery, and terms for complex and specialized materials, equipment, components and services for assigned commodities, spend areas and product groups.
- Support Supply Contract Director in formation and execution of sourcing and materials strategies and best practices. Integrate with business goals to track and assure continuous improvement in key performance metrics.
- Build strong, value-adding relationships with supply management teams and/or Business Unit cross-functional departments to strengthen sourcing and materials management effectiveness.
- Particular expertise in working with Contracts and Legal personnel in formulation of procurement/contractual Terms and Conditions.
- Manage Supplier Relationships, maintain good working relationships with existing vendors. Assist with disputes, including schedule and quality issues resolution.
- Plan and lead all assigned Procurement Plans and supplier negotiation strategies. - Lead teams to assure effective involvement of Engineering, Business Development, Operations and all other related functions with focus on on-time delivery, quality, cost reduction, inventory management & appropriate translation of customer and/or business unit requirements.
- Conduct risk management analysis of selected suppliers taking into account material costing trends and capacity constraints.
- Lead a team of local Commercial leads across EMEA
- Act on behalf of the Commercial GSCS Director during his absence
- Project Manage procurement projects
- Provide daily management and support to team members while continually developing and expanding individual and team capabilities
- Align with regional and sector functional stakeholders to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into contract strategy while gaining leadership support
- Partner with Regional and Sector Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity - lead team countermeasures aligned to commodities and regions/sector
- Accountable for team reporting

Specific Desired Skills:
A successful candidate will have a degree as listed below and be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering required.
- Typically 8 to 10 years of experience in contract/project administration, preferably of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement.
- Significant experience with vendor purchase order issuance, execution and administration
- Demonstrated Experience identifying, qualifying and negotiating with suppliers on matter of cost, terms and conditions and general contract requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with managing supplier relations, resolving issues and improving supplier performance. Negotiating resolution of scope or cost increases, supplier claims and disputes.
- The ability to work effectively in a project management team environment.
- Some level of specific knowledge of heavy fabrication techniques, nuclear components and associated suppliers is desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills across cultures, languages and locations
- Proficient use of SAP, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and Powerbi is desirable
- Strong Analytic experience
- Experience with large complex cross functional projects
- Direct experience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferred
