Reporting to the Cultural Resource Management manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals dedicated to the preservation and management of cultural resources. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with archaeological surveys, monitoring, historical research, and GPS/GIS mapping. You will also participate in identifying precontact and historic artifacts, documenting and assessing historical buildings and structures, researching and accessioning archival materials and collections, and supporting compliance with federal, state, and local cultural resource laws and regulations. Familiarity with XRF analysis methods, particularly their application to obsidian artifacts, is essential. This team operates on a 9x80 schedule, and this internship position is remote.
