Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the Aircraft Carrier Design and Systems Engineering Directorate (SEA 05V) at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
These positions are located at the Washington Navy Yard.

Responsibilities:
Serve as an engineer supporting technical and programmatic tasking for Aircraft Carrier Ship Design Managers (SDMs) and the System Engineering Manager (SEM) in the Digital, Network, and Cyber Group.
Review technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics products, and training to assess accuracy and/or assess risk for SDM/SEM technical decisions
Provide written responses to requests for technical assistance or adjudication received via letter, Departure from Specification (DFS), and Nuclear Liaison Action Request (NLAR)
Address technical issues with ship modernization efforts executed via Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and support development of new SCDs
Review ship, procurement, and systems specifications and submit written proposals for changes
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, build consensus with numerous stakeholders, and coordinate with teams of engineers and support staff to complete projects.
Coordinate with a team of 4 to 6 team members on multiple projects. This includes technical feedback and guidance, task tracking, and team communications.
Develop formal presentations to brief to senior officials.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering
3- 7 years’ experience with machinery control systems
Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
Good project management, technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
Candidate must be highly motivated, independent, and self-starter, able to manage their own projects and coordinate the work with multiple engineers
Candidate must have good interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
Preferred/Desired:
Prior Carrier, Submarine, or Surface Ship (Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine) system engineering experience
Experience with one or more of the following Ship Control Systems (SCS):
Machinery Control and Monitoring System (MCMS) / Machinery Control System (MCS) or similar
Machinery Control network systems and related infrastructure
Steering Gear Control Systems
Voice/Video over IP related systems
Navigation/shipboard networks
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
Damage Control software applications.
Working with or at a shipyard, Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center (NSWC/NUWC), Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), and/or Type Commander (TYCOM) supporting construction, operation, maintenance, modernization, and/or repair of shipboard auxiliary systems. Experience working with technical authority (e.g. NAVSEA 05 and 08).
Experience working with program managers (e.g. PEO Carriers, PMS 312, PMS 378, etc.) in an engineering role
