WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?


Provides procurement expertise and leadership to the strategic buyers group and support the procurement and supply of materials, parts, and services for the organization. Consolidation, standardization and leverage of the high value spend categories (Strategic) across two countries, five business units: Cement, CBM RMX & Aggregates, Prairie RMX & Aggregates


WHAT WILL YOU DO?



  • Tendering and negotiating annual supply contracts with external vendors ranging from $30k to $50 million, multi-year, cross BU spend [consistent with procurement policies, best practices and audit compliance].

  • As above listed, responsible for procurement activities related to the Strategic Categories within Cement, Ready Mix and Aggregates Business Units in Canada and US:

  • Focused on sourcing of strategic /corporate categories from a wide range of vendors

  • Gathers and consolidates information related to the requirements of all Cement plants and/or BUs/Corporate purchases, including preliminary specification, quality and quantity required, preferred supplier, and required delivery date to define the category strategy aligned with the operation needs.

  • Cost Analysis (TCO) - Produce Bid Analysis to evaluate vendor proposals from a commercial perspective to utilize appropriate negotiations and purchasing techniques to achieve optimum TCO including, but not limited to, quality, price, warranty, delivery and service. Attain terms and conditions which are favorable to Votorantim and seek to reduce the company's risk exposure.

  • Negotiation of high complexity purchases/contracts.

  • Managing key contracts, evaluation, recommendation & rollout

  • Assist in drafting agreements that comply with company requirements.

  • Oversee vendor management process throughout the life cycle of contracts, ensuring compliance and performance.

  • Networking and linking internal, and external, stakeholders to achieve full compliance with corporate requirements, maximum coherence & execution excellence - while capturing immediate, as well as long term benefits [i.e. Savings and performance] for VCNA & Global

  • Actively participation in the development and implementation of new technologies and processes in Procurement.

  • Market research, vendor relations
