Currently Looking for Aluminum (6061) MIG welders. Nuclear Plant
Pay: starting at $32 DOE + $70 per diem + Hotel Paid
Start/ Duration: 10/5/24-10/26/2024, training 1 full week starting on 9/30
Shift: 6-7/ 12's
Project Location: Seabrook, NH
Previous experience with electrical or industrial construction industry is strongly preferred.
Required job functions
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
- Work effectively alongside assigned team or crafts as required.
- Interpret construction, welding, and electrical drawings, and take or read measurements according to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on the requirements of the job.
- Set up components for welding according to detailed specifications.
- Rig, lift, set, align, and fit equipment in position according to drawings and specifications.
- Weld Aluminum components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead, 6G test required)
- Perform maintenance on and Inspection of existing, aging equipment for defects, damage, and deterioration.
- Operate electrical test equipment including Hi-Pot, Ductor, Megger.
- Operate company vehicles safely and within company policy.
Experience:
- 3-5 years welding experience to include aluminum GMAW and GTAW welding in industrial outdoor environments.
- 3-5 years pipefitting, rigging, ironworking or related experience.
- Familiar with medium and high voltage electrical equipmentKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper use protective equipment, working at heights, etc.
Other Requirements:
- TWIC Card
- Basic plus
- Up to 75% travel required throughout the continental USA.
- Ability to work in various environments including power plants, nuclear facilities and petrochemical facilities.
- Valid and current driverβs license.
- Must pass nuclear background check and drug screening.
